1. POVZETEK – ABSTRAKT

Title of my research project proposal in the subject Master’s research seminar is MOTIVATION FOR LIFELONG EDUCATION and inovation ADULT PEOPLE’S UNIVERSITIES NOVA GORICA and a use of  knowledge.
Already same address of the research project tell us something of the purpose of research priorities, as reflected in the survey, which will determine what motives lead to the continuing and adult lifelong learning and to use this knowledge.
According to the Svetličič (1999) and many other authors, we inhabitants of the northern coastal regions as part of Slovenia and the EU, players a new information revolution. Tthe basis is essential knowledge and information, for the members of the new informationsociety(Svetličič,1999).
The purpose of my task is therefore to explore the motives of adults, leading to continuous learning in the information society, which itself requires a greater development of functional literacy, as well as other information literacy skills necessary for the democratic functioning of the new information society.

I also assume that with the implementation of the LLP People’s University of Nova Gorica implement the recommendations of the European Commission.
Finally, I considered what to do to even greater motivation for adults LLP and indirectly to the development of functional literacy and information literacy in the north-coastal region. I mentioned that is already running “a national program of adult education” in Slovenia, as well as “a national strategy for the development of literacy,” and for the LLP, which are also in my view, essential for the development of science slovenian on the road to developed society
